History

Soon after its opening in May of 1999, Mi Casa Fine Home Furnishings quickly became a leading force in the retail furniture industry of Trinidad and Tobago.

​

Before Mi Casa, stylish furniture selections in Trinidad and Tobago, like in many other parts of the Caribbean, were a rarity, with the limited availability coming at a high price.

​

To locate a satisfactory variety of elegant home furnishings, it was the custom of many Trinidadians to travel abroad to purchase their furniture and then arrange for importation into Trinidad.

​

Mi Casa quickly reduced that trend. Our customers frequently relate to us the nightmares that they had to endure with the importation process and continually thank us for providing Trinidad with such a wide selection of stylish, quality furniture and accessories; and, more importantly, at a very reasonable cost, which directly competes with many of the popular furniture and accessory stores abroad.
